OVERVIEW
As we approach the longest

message of potential for
progress and flourishing,
progress and flourishing,
symbolized by sun rise. The

sun teaches us how to progress.

Coming up soon is Winter Solstice 2011 (12-22-11) Longest night of the year, yet the sun rises and greets the moon to remind us that the light returns even in the darkness of the season. |
It is time to seize the moment;
yet, being human, we are
warned we must remain
vigilant regarding how we might
unconsciously undermine our efforts.
(See Four Considerations at bottom of blog)
As the sun rises, it gradually brings out the features of the landscape, and we begin to see things in a new light. |
The sun as it rises symbolizes an increase of virtue. |
However, the Sage also cautions against:
1) plowing ahead like

FOUR CONSIDERATIONS
The Four Points below may be impacting
your life re: progress and flourishing.
Read each and consider...
First: Indulging in greed shuns the light
of the rising sun.
Time will deliver woe to us
if we harbor impure motives
at the expense of others while progressing..
Question: How do I unconsciously sabotage
receiving blessings in my life at this time?
Second: While we have
what it takes to advance,
what it takes to advance,
if we behave inappropriately,
(i.e. plowing ahead, acting out of self-interest,
forcing progress, or falling prey to old habits)
we could succumb to scattered thinking
and/or reacting to ghosts from our pasts,
which could render us
timid and unsure of ourselves.
Question: How am I behaving inappropriately
re the Sage's advice here?
Third: Avoid trying to be the
white-knight-in-shining-armor
who defends the Truth
for there is no need to do battle with evil,
since Truth has the power
to prevail on its own in the end.
--Question: Where am I regarding
trusting the Truth?
Fourth: If our ego searches for
glory, comfort, or
a reason to exist––raison d'etre––we
can be easily duped.
If we seek to abandon our goals
out of fear, we lose the balance
and poise to follow the Way or the Tao.
and poise to follow the Way or the Tao.
Hidden Possibility
Flourishing, progressing, and brightening
contain the hidden possibility of
re-imaging your difficulties––by
seeing things differently we possess
the power to impact our reality in a positive way.
